USPTO Summer Series at Georgia Tech | The Path to a Patent, Part II: Patent searching

The Georgia Tech Library’s Patent and Trademark Resource Center, in partnership with United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), offers for the first time a six-week intellectual property summer series online. This series includes ten workshops led by USPTO experts through June and July, and all workshops are free and open to the public.

Before you file your patent application, you need to conduct a prior art search. At this virtual presentation, you will learn about the benefits of searching, how to perform a prior art search using keywords and the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) system, and how to build a search strategy. We will also provide resources for filing your application.
