Mini World Cup (Video Game Competition)

Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) events at Georgia Tech celebrate and recognize the economic, scientific, cultural, and social contributions of Latinos in the United States. OHI advises a student committee to coordinate efforts with several Hispanic/Latino student organizations in organizing the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration from mid-September to mid-October.

Georgia Tech's 2020 HHM theme is "Hispanics: Embrace Your Past, Shape the Future."

Students will display their love for soccer by participating in this friendly competition of FIFA World Cup. Teams of 1-2 students will represent different countries. Safety protocols will be enforced inside the venue, including admittance limited to players and a few fans, social distancing, and masking. Limited spots are available.

Prizes: First-place team: FIFA 21. Second and third-place teams: GT sweaters.

Pre-registration and a $10 refundable deposit are required and will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Hosted by GT-SHPE. Registration is open here. For more information, contact Jonathan Fernandez at
