Seoulstice Fall Auditions

Registration Form

Please look below for a detailed schedule of the audition process.

Audition Details

We will be teaching BOTH choreographies on the day of the audition. You will be required to audition for only ONE of the two songs.

Audition Pieces:
PRODUCE X 101 - Move

1. Do I have to be completely familiar with dancing to audition or to be part of the team?
Absolutely not! Many of our members barely danced before they were introduced to Seoulstice.

2. How many people will be selected?
All members from the dance team in the Spring semester will be required to audition again, and we are looking for around 20 members in total. We do have multiple open spots on the team, as several previous members have graduated.

3. How are auditions scored?
In order to ensure fairness and consistency in our judgement, we score each person on technique (fluidity/sharpness/etc.), stage presence, and execution (accurate execution of the choreography). Auditions will be conducted in rounds of 4 and will be recorded in order for us to score accurately. Everyone will also have 2 attempts, and we will score based on the better attempt.

4. Will we not have any time to practice before the audition starts?
Because you are only required to audition for one song, you may practice individually during the workshop of the song you are not auditioning. For example, if you are auditioning for Move and not for Fever, you may practice individually for Move in the studio during the Fever workshop. Therefore, please try to come to auditions with an idea of the song you will audition with!

5. Where can I find your videos to see what it’s like being a member of the dance team?
Check out some of our dance covers from the Spring semester!
IZ*ONE - La Vie En Rose:
BTS - Fire:

6. When are practices?
Sundays CRC Studio A 8-10 PM
Mondays CRC Studio B 9-11 PM
Tuesdays-Thursdays Student Success/Student Center Rooms 9-11 PM

**You are only required to show up to practices for the songs you signed up for. Every song has 2 practices per week, and we approximately do 3 songs at a time. Most people participate in 1 song at a time, so the average time requirement is 4 hrs./wk

7. Will I have to participate in EVERY dance cover?
No. Because everyone has a different schedule, we do not expect everyone to have the time to participate in every cover. You are encouraged to participate in as many dance covers as your heart desires, but please be mindful of your schedule so that you won’t miss any dance practices!

8. What if I can't make it to auditions?
Please learn the choreography on your own with the mirrored dance versions linked above. Once you have learned the choreography, please record yourself dancing to the above choreographies and email your video link to by 11:59 PM on August 24th. We will only accept YouTube links.
